General Information: Terms and Conditions

Rates: Please call us for specific rates and dates. Our rates are based on group departure dates. A group is usually fifteen or more passengers, but some programs can be operated with less than 15 participants. Dates can be adjusted according to the group’s preference. Most of our programs are custom designed and programs can be changed based on the group’s request. Please call us for all the details. 800-842-4842

Reservations: A reservation is confirmed upon receipt of a $ 500.00 per person deposit for individuals and $ 500.00 deposit for groups of 15 or more passengers. A confirmation of the reservation will be mailed once the deposit has been processed. Certain programs may have different deposit requirement.

Deposits: To reserve group space we require a $ 500.00 group deposit. An additional per person deposit of $ 500.00 is due 30-90 days after the group deposit is received. Air space will not be held without a deposit, as the airlines cancel space automatically.

Space can be cancelled (in writing) or reduced (in writing) without penalty ,90 days before each departure date. Within 90 days of departure all deposits are non-refundable. Certain airlines may have different terms. Once your group is confirmed we will send you the terms and conditions for that specific airline.

Revision fee: A handling fee of $ 25.00 per transaction will be assessed for any change or revision made to a reservation. A change of departure date within 90 days of departure will result in a cancellation and rebooking, with all the appropriate fees.

Payments: Select International accepts payment by check or credit card check. we do not accept credit cards as payment. Full payment is due in our office 45 days before departure along with the names as they appear on the passport and a complete rooming list. Payments not received on time are considered late and carry an additional fee of $100.00 per person. All payments within 14 days of departure must be certified or they will not be accepted.

Documents: All documents will be mailed 2-3 weeks before departure provided all payments and names have been received on time. We require a copy of a valid passport (picture page) for each reservation.

Add-on fares and Airport Taxes: Add-on fares are available from most major U.S. cities. We encourage you to purchase domestic tickets with Select International whenever possible. Select International is not responsible for any penalties incurred on domestic tickets not purchased from Select International, in case of changes in the schedule of the tour.

Add-ons are subject to change until the time of ticketing. Airport taxes cannot be guaranteed due to fluctuating cost of fuel and changing airport security charges. We will quote you an estimated airport tax, but can confirm a firm rate only at time of ticketing. Therefore airport taxes are subject to change, up until the time of final invoice and or ticketing. Due to heightened airport security please pack lightly and be at the airport at least 3 hours before departure.

Baggage: Baggage handling is included for one suitcase per person only, whenever possible, in the cost of the tour. The airlines for international flights will not allow a suitcase to exceed 50 pounds, and if the weight is more the penalties are very steep. On inter-European flights, which are not directly connected to a transatlantic flight the baggage weight limit is 25 lbs.

Please remember that some of the smaller hotels in Europe do not have baggage handling and have very small elevators, so you will be required to carry your own luggage. Maximum allowed per person is one suitcase (50 pounds on international flights and 25kg on inter-European flights) and one carry on, which fits in the overhead bin. The airline and or the coach company may refuse additional baggage, or may charge for excess baggage.

Baggage handling is not available on any of the trains and stations. Please follow the basic rule of traveling light and “if you cannot carry it do not bring it.”

Group Reservations: Additional programs are added frequently. If you do not see a date or a program suitable to your group’s requirements, please call us; we are pleased to custom design a program. We add new departures and programs throughout the year.

Upon receipt of a group deposit ($500.00) a confirmation and a Group Booking Agreement will be mailed to you. In order for the reservation to be processed, we must have the signed original of the Group Booking Agreement on file.

Any program can be customized if you have a group of 15 or more passengers.

Individual Passengers: We can usually combine individual passengers with one of our groups.

Deviation Charge: Clients can choose to stay in Europe after the group returns for $ 150.00 more per person, plus any other charges imposed by the airline. In order to qualify for the group rate the group must travel together outbound.

Special requests: Seating is group seating and therefore Select International cannot accommodate any individual seating requests. Frequent flier mileage cannot be accrued due to group space. The passengers should make requests for special meals directly with the airlines, two weeks before departure. Wheelchair assistance is provided only upon written request. Please have any medication you require in your carry-on luggage. If you have to carry electronic devices a doctor’s note is needed.

Individual Land Only Passengers: Programs start and end at the hotel. Individual airport transfers are not provided.

Cancellations: Deposits are usually refundable as long as you cancel in writing more than 90 days before departure. Within 90 days all payments are non-refundable. However some programs may vary in cancellation charges, please check with us at the time of booking. All payments are non-refundable 90 days before departure. Once the tickets are issued they are non-refundable and non-endorsable. Unused portions of the trip are non-refundable. For your protection we urge you to purchase trip cancellation insurance.

Insurance: Select International offers trip cancellation/travel accident insurance policy insurance, for protection of our passengers in case of cancellations, accidents, baggage loss, trip delays and interruptions. Please read the details of the policy under Travel Insurance on this web site.

Not Included: Passport, Visas, items not listed on each program, tips, and lunches unless specified. Beverages including drinks, coffee, bottled water and tea with or after dinner. Items of personal nature, excess baggage allowance, any incurred medical costs and replacement of items forgotten while on the tour. Select International is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.

Free Tour Leader Travel: Each program has different criteria for a free trip. Please ask us upon booking. Free is in a double room and pays taxes, tips, and insurance.

Land Operator: Select International acts only as an agent of various transportation, hotel, service and ground companies. All responsibility for service, safety and operations while on the ground in each individual destination is undertaken by local ground operators. Changes in the itinerary, guides and hotels may occur occasionally while the group is en-route, and are not in the control off or the responsibility of Select International.

Prices: Air fares are based on quoted airline rates at the time of preliminary quote and are subject to change until we receive a group deposit and confirm the air space. Dates of the programs may change due to airline schedule changes. Land rates are subject to change due to the fluctuating value of the U.S. dollar against foreign currency. Final calculation will be done at the time of final payment. If the rate of exchange fluctuates 2% up or down, a recalculation of the land cost will be done at the time of final payment.

You may choose to protect the tour price against any increases by paying in full at time of reservations.

Operator of the tour(s) herein outlined, its subsidiaries and /or its associated agents, are responsible only for service and disclaim any and all liability for property loss or damage, and any and all damages resulting from personal injures or death, this includes loss of service en route, which may be sustained on account of, rising out of, by reason of, ownership, maintenance, operation of any aircraft, automobile, motor coach, boat, vehicle, common carrier or otherwise. Select International is not responsible for failure or delay caused by any transportation company, due to any causes whatsoever, occurring during a tour by which the means of transportation or other service provided are offered or supplied by owner, operator or public carriers for whom Select International acts solely as agent. Select International reserves the right to alter or omit any part of the itinerary or change any space reservation, feature and/or means of conveyance without notice and for any reason whatsoever and without allowance of refunds. Select International shall not be responsible for any injury to person (whether or not resulting in death) or damage to property arising out of any act of war, terrorism or insurrection, revolt or other civil uprising, or other military action occurring in either the country of origin, destination, or through passage. Air carriers are responsible only for the air travel portion of these programs preformed on behalf of the passengers in accordance with the terms and conditions of the individual passage contracts, which are subject to applicable laws, treaties and regulations governing air transportation. Air carriers may not be held responsible for any omission or events during the time passengers are not aboard the aircraft. The passage contract when issued will constitute the sole contract between carries and passengers. Select International is not responsible in case of accidents, mishaps or delays, which may result in loss of service or life.

Our programs are copyrighted 2007/2008 and cannot be reproduced in whole or part without written permission by Select International.

DISPUTES OR ARBITRATION: All complaints must be submitted in writing to Select International within 7 days of trip return. Passengers on any Select International tour agree that all disputes will be settled and resolved through binding arbitration according to the rules of the American Arbitration Association in New Jersey.
