DAY 1: DEPART U.S.A.

Depart this evening on an overnight flight to Rome.

DAY 2: ROME – WELCOME TO ROME

Arrive in the Eternal City and enjoy an afternoon at leisure and opportunity to become acclimated to a new time zone. Overnight in Rome (D.)

DAY 3: ANCIENT ROME

Your day starts with the Papal Audience. This afternoon you have a tour highlighting the famous sites of Rome, such as the Trevi Fountain, the Colloseum, the Piazza Venezia, St. Paul Outside the Walls, Via Veneto, Piazza Navone, the Spanish Steps and more. Overnight in Rome (B.D.)

DAY 4: ROME

Explore the amazing treasures of the Vatican Museum and marvel at the sight of Michelangelo’s masterpiece “ the Sistine Chapel”. Continue your visit of Rome with exploration of the Basilicas of St. Mary Major, St. John the Lateran, Holy Stairs and Holy Cross in Jerusalem. Overnight Rome. (B.D.)

DAY 5: ROME- ASSISI

Today visit Assisi, the home of St. Francis where he lived and founded the Franciscan Order. We'll have a tour of the City of Birds and Silence including, St. Francis Basilica, Church of St. Clare, the church of Santa Maria Degli Angeli, containing the famous Porziuncola, and the Convent of San Damiano. DAY 6: ROME

Morning at leisure with time to enjoy the city on your own. Early this afternoon board the overnight train to Lourdes. Overnight on the train. (B.)

DAY 7: LOURDES

{mosimage}You have Mass at the Grotto, followed by a walking tour of Lourdes, including the Basilica and home of Bernadette. Tonight join the Candlelight Procession. Overnight Lourdes. (B.D.)

DAY 8/9: LOURDES

Two full days in Lourdes for prayer and devotions. You have time to bathe in the Healing Baths, follow the Stations of the Cross and attend the Blessing of the Sick. Overnight in Lourdes. (B.D.)

DAY 10: PARIS

This morning depart for Paris by flight or the TGV train. The city tour includes Notre Dame Cathedral, The Champs Elysee, the Concorde Place and other highlights of “the City of Lights”. Overnight in Paris (B.)

DAY 11: PARIS

A day at leisure, or opportunity to take a full day tour to Nevers, to see St. Bernadette’s incorrupt body.  Or visit Lisieux, home of St. Theresa Little Flower. Overnight in Paris. (B.)

DAY 12: RETURN TO U.S.A.

Before being transferred to the airport and your flight back home, attend early Mass at the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal at Rue de Bac. (B.)
