DAY 1: DEPART U.S.A.
You’ll leave on an overnight flight to Paris.
Day 2: PARIS- MIRACULOUS MEDAL
Welcome to France. Upon arrival in Paris you are transferred to your hotel. Following a visit to Rue de Bac where you will have Mass at the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal, containing the incorrupt body of St. Catherine Laboure, enjoy an afternoon at leisure. Take a stroll along the wide boulevards of the “City of Lights” as you become acclimated to a new time zone. Overnight Paris. (D.)
Day 3: PARIS- NEVERS
This morning you visit Sacre Coeur located in the heart of Montmarte, the artist section and overlooking the city before leaving for Nevers for a visit to St. Gildard’s Convent to view the incorrupt body of St. Bernadette, and have Mass at the Chapel. Overnight in Nevers. (B.D.)
DAY 4: NEVERS- PARAY LE MONIAL- ARS–LYON
After breakfast depart for Paray Le Monial, the Cradle of Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, since Our Blessed Lord appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque at the Visitation Convent. Continue to Ars and Mass at the Altar of St. John Vianney, Patron Saint of Parish Priests. Overnight in Lyon. (B.D.)
DAY 5: LA SALETTE
Depart early for La Salette, the pilgrimage site situated high in the French Alps and probably the most fascinating pilgrimage places in France, with one of the most beautiful Basilicas dedicated to the Glory of the Virgin Mary. The Virgin Mary appeared here in 1846 to two shepherd children and gave each of them a secret and a message calling for repentance from widespread religious apathy. The place of the Apparition is forever marked by a miraculous well, and was confirmed by the Vatican in 1942. Overnight in La Salette. (B.D.)
DAY 6: LE PUY
This morning drive through the countryside of Provence, dotted with vineyards, villages and fields of sunflower and lavender to Le Puy. With the exception of the Italian shrines, this Marian shrine received more papal visits than any other. You are greeted by huge statue Our Lady of France towering over the city, on one hill and on the other the sanctuary of St. Michel. In the Cathedral you see the statue of the Black Madonna. DAY 7: LOURDES
Today we arrive the great pilgrimage center of Lourdes. Start the day with Mass at the Grotto of Massabielle, followed by a walking tour of Lourdes. Here the Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette in 1858. Time is scheduled to visit the Healing Baths, and take a bath in the miraculous waters. In the evening participate in the spectacular Candlelight Procession joining thousands of pilgrims in praying the Rosary and singing hymns in honor of the Mother of God. Overnight in Lourdes. (B.D.)
DAY 8 & 9: LOURDES
Todays is reserved for prayer, devotion, and healing, pray the Stations of the Cross, attend the Blessing of the Sick, the Blessed Sacrament Procession and Eucharistic Adoration. Overnight in Lourdes. (B.D.)
DAY 10: LOURDES- PARIS
This morning depart for Paris by flight or the TGV train. The city tour includes Notre Dame Cathedral, the Chapel of St. Vincent de Paul, the Champs Elysee, the Concorde Place and other highlights. Of “the City of Lights.” Overnight in Paris. (B.D.)
DAY 11: PARIS- LISIEUX
A day at leisure, or opportunity to take an optional full day trip to Lisieux, the home of St. Therese, The Little Flower. See the Carmel and celebrate Mass. Visit the Les Buisonnets and the Basilica of St. Therese. Return to Paris for overnight. (B.)
DAY 12: RETURN TO U.S.A.
Transfer to airport for your flight back home. (B.)
